Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship 2009-10
The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is awarded to students with high levels of academic achievement. If you achieve AAB grades at A Level (or equivalent) You will qualify for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship worth £1000 for the academic year.
If you are on an NHS funded course you are not eligible to apply for any other University bursaries. For more information about NHS bursaries please go to www.nhsstudentgrants.co.uk
Key Points about the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship:
- You must have achieved AAB in your A Levels or equivalent level in another qualification that is accepted as an entry requirement for your course. Equivalence will be judged on a case by case basis.
- This Bursary is available to UK and EU students studying full-time on an undergraduate course.
- You must complete a PN1 form regardless of what other funding you may wish to apply for, so that you can be assessed for eligibility.
- If you are also eligible for the Salford University Bursary, that will be paid in addition to your award of £1000.
- You must demonstrate Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to receive this bursary for the whole of your course (find out more about Satisfactory Academic Progress)
Qualifying for a Bursary
There is one form you must complete to apply for all your financial support including Student Loans, HEMG and Salford Bursaries. New Students must complete a PN1 form from Student Finance Direct. You must complete this form even if you choose not to apply for a Student Loan, because the information you put on this form will enable the University to start calculating which Bursary you are entitled to.
